Dylan Bruzenak, the author of the plugin unfortunately does not have
time anymore for maintaining/enhancing this plugin[1]. I personally do
not see it as feasible for 7.0 to enhance it, so if nobody else....

BTW do you see some real stoppers there or it is unusable at all with
7.0, or are you looking mainly for enhancements? Sorry, I've did not
tried it for longer time.

Hello Martin,
I am still on 6.1. I saw the problems that people were having with 6.5 so I
decided to stay off it. I am thinking of installing 7.0. The Haml plugin
does nice coloring but no auto-indentation, it would be nice to get the
pop-up help as well.
I can understand for 7.0, but in the future, Rails 3.0/Merb, will give equal
treatment to ERB/Haml since so many people are using it already, so I think
out-of-box Haml/Sass support would be a definite plus for Netbeans.
Regards,
Bharat

I have to agree here...
We're also solely using haml for our views or SASS and are forcing our partners to develop using haml too.

Only recently I switched to netbeans to get all my php/ruby/java projects together and way faster.
Yet the HAML Plugin is inferior to the one available to another big IDE.

Would also be a big step to bringing other rails devs to haml and away from embedded ruby. Wink

I also think that haml plugin should support the debugging, this would help allot.
