Hi All,
I have to develop a Netbeans Platform based application (versione 6.7 of
the platform) and I'm thinking to use Maven2. I'm quite new to Maven
development.
How can I accomplish it? Which steps I have to follow?
Any suggestion or tutorial?
Thanks in advance, regards,
Antonio

| The IDE contains 2 maven archetypes related to nb platform development.
one is a single netbeans module, the other is a set of modules setup to
compose a nb platform based app. That should get you started.
http://mojo.codehaus.org/nbm-maven-plugin/ has some documentation as well.

Hi Antonio,
Basically it works the same way as NetBeans Platform development
without Maven. To create a Maven-based project you select File -> New
Project - > Maven -> Maven Project. Here you'll find a special
archetype (Maven NetBeans Platform Application archetype 1.1) which
will help set-up the Maven project for developing a NetBeans Platform
application.
Considering that you are new to Maven, I'd suggest that you first have
a look at the freely available "Maven: The Definitive Guide" book by
Sonatype located at http://www.sonatype.com/books/maven-book/reference/
Once you are comfortable with Maven I'd suggest that you pick up "The
Definitive Guide for the NetBeans Platform 6.5" which will quickly
bring you up to speed on platform development.
Hope that helps.
Kind regards,
Allan
