Very Slow Context Menus - NB 6.9 on Mac

I consistently and regularly having very slow response time (10 seconds) when right clicking on a file or on code in the java editor to bring up a context menu.

While this is definitely a motivation to learn the keyboard shortcuts, I would really like to know if there are any solutions / ideas for making it snappier.

Here is my configuration:

Product Version: NetBeans IDE 6.9 (Build 201006101454)
Java: 1.6.0_20; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 16.3-b01-279
System: Mac OS X version 10.6.4 running on x86_64; MacRoman; en_US (nb)

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide
