I'm requesting a waiver for the issue:

http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=166203

Summary: [JAVASCRIPT] Refactoring doesn't work if initiated on function
invocation statement

Description: Rename does not work when is invoked at function invocation
statement. Mark occurrences marks wrong occurrences, semantic
highlighting is incorrect under some circumstances for javascript
variables/functions.

Impact: Incorrectly reformatted code, confused user due to the wrong
coloring and mark occurrences.

Workaround: Preview the changes before doing refactoring.

Justification:

1) Since the js features are not supposed to be completely accurate the
issue is not that big problem as it would be for a stricly typed
language like java. For the javascript user is obliged to preview the
changes before doing the refactoring.

2) It's already implemented in the new JS Editor that is going to be a
part of NetBeans 7.2.Next.

Fix estimate: I'm not going to fix it in the current JS Editor that will
be replaced with the new one.

Thanks,
Petr
