I am unable to figure out how to set environment variables for particular run configurations (NetBeans 6.5). Is this possible?
I would rather not have to start NetBeans with the environment variable already set.
Thanks |

Netbeans allows command line options to configure some of its
properties (eg: jdk used, some env variable, etc) either using
- command line options eg: -J-Dxxxx=xxx or other predefined options
- modifying the [netbeans_dir]/etc/netbeans.conf

I thought that the -DXXX=XXXX option was for system properties, not environment variables. Is there a command line option for environment variables?
We are using a third party package that reads an environment variable to determine a path. In eclipse it was possible to configure run time environment variables.
Is there a way to configure NetBeans to set arbitrary environment variables?
