I know this is a very old post but I was wondering if there was any
resolution to this problem. I am currently experiencing the same issue as
well using NB 6.8

Regards,

RB

I have no idea what "old post" you are referring to, or which "same issue", but to change the used JDK for your project simply change it in the "Libraries" section of your project properties.

To add a new JDK (different than the one used for running NetBeans) simply add one using the dialog "Tools -> Java Platforms"

This is also described in detail in the online help. Just search for "jdk" in the help window.

Different JDK for projects vs. Netbeans

I already have various JDKs setup. The issue we have using ANT within NB is
it will use the default JDK regardless of what is set in the project. In
the project I have it set to 1.4, executing the ant build in NB 6.8 is using
1.6

You should have quoted the original message. Apparently my answer does not apply to that situation.
(And no, as far as I know there is a solution to that problem)

If you notice your responses are spawning off a new thread. You will see at
the bottom of the one I posted to you that is where I did in fact respond.
Well thanks anyway.

Everything is in one thread, at least through the forum:

Check it out through the forum, you'll see that your initial message was without any context
