Hello there!

I'm having some trouble running Netbeans on a school lab that uses authentication through ldap.
All folders are created and stored at the ldap server, that includes the .netbeans folder

When starting the program for the first time (or after deleting the .netbeans folder) it won't give me any errors, UNTIL I start a projetct.
It'll start popping windows every second saying that the folder "Preferences" already exists.

- This won't happen when logged into a local user account
- I already tried setting the permissions to those folders to 777, same erros
- Sometimes it'll give me the error that netbeans is already running on that user folder
- Running it with userpath to a different folder doesn't work either

Another error that showed doesn't make any sense (it shows in portuguese, the language that netbeans is configured to):

Não é possível criar arquivo org porque Preferences no sistema de arquivos Sistema padrão não é uma pasta.

Which will "translate" to something like this:

It's not possible to create the file org because Preferences in the filesystem default System is not a folder.

Thanks in advance

What email? I'm not sure if I understood what you said.

I'm still getting those errors when I log in using a domain user. I created a local user and it works fine, but that's not what I want.

Why doesn't netbeans work under domain users? Does it create files bigger than 100Mb in the user folder?

I'm not sure why I didn't mention, but the computers are running ubuntu 10.10 (x86).
