Hello !

Does anybody has some simple BPEL application for Netbeans, which uses real web services (for learning purposes) ?

Thanks !

For learning purpose, you can find plenty of BPEL samples from within NetBeans itself.

Make sure you use the SOA-enhanced NetBeans 6.7.1 packaged in the GlassFish ESB v2.2 release [1], not the one downloaded from the netbeans.org site directly.

Thankyou very much! But it wold be great to get something more alive and closer to real life. Actually, it could be application wit only one web-service, but the real one, not simulated or useless.

I tried using those samples. What is the difference between asynchronous and synchronous? Don't they mean the same thing?

No, they are not the same, if some process P invokes asynchronous process A then process P may continue its operation regardless of process A hence both process P and A can operate in parallel manner.
