Setting the time of the built-in splash screen

Hi

Right-clicking on the project node and then to Application I selected a file in the Splash Screen textfield.

However, when I run my application outside NetBeans it takes about 15 seconds to show the splash screen.

Without the splash screen the application loads effectively immediately.

Is there way to set the max time that the splash screen appears?
