File -> New Project -> NetBeansModules -> Netbeans Platform Application

name suite7, checked "as main project"

suite7 -> right button menu: clean and build all

suite7 -> right button menu: run

What I see is an app titled suite7, but beside that, the app has GUI
exactly like one app which I deleted already, including its disk
files. The deleted app was my failed attempt at stripping menus using
a custom branding module, using the tutorial at
http://platform.netbeans.org/tutorials/nbm-htmleditor.html.

Why do I see the incarnations of the deleted app in every brand new
platform application with nothing added to it?

I tried to make a new app in NB7.1beta instead of NB7.0.1. The only difference is, that there are also "garbage collector" and "profile application" widgets, in the the same UI, though.

I know the reason, already.

I started with NB-identical platform with a lot of modules enabled, for some reason unknown to me, perhaps I made a regular suite instead of nb platform. Then, I started to prune the
modules, and gui elements the like the refactor menu, until it went down to a small app, which had its gui identical or nearly identical to the default app, if generated in another way. The similarity of the two apps caused the confusion.

Cheers,
Artur
