I am having issues with Netbeans across 3 Windows 7 64bit platforms. Identical issues each time.
Trying to follow STS tutorials.
When i create web services and then deploy them (starting the glassfish instance) I am repeatedly... as in nearly every time... finding that then trying to right click a web service to edit it's webservices attribute - is not available.
In other words, right clicking does nothing - no menu appears.
I can right click on the project in order to try and add a new web service client - and nothing happens... so the menu is there for this operation, but selecting it does nothing.
I can go to File -> create new project... nothing happens.
However, I can still right click and run/deploy/test things. So not every menu is "doing nothing".
To get functionality back, I have to exit the IDE.
After exiting, if you ctrl+alt+del I can see a netbeans instance still running in the background (just taking up memory) and javaw too. If I start the IDE again, a new netbeans process is created, and a new javaw as well.
The fact it is happening across 3 platforms (two laptops and a desktop) is proving incredible frustrating.
Is anyone else experiencing similar issues? Does anyone have any suggestions? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times...
Having to close the IDE and restart it dozens of times whilst attempting to do basic things is incredible frustrating. I am assuming only I experience this issue as I'd expect this forum to be crammed with others complaining about it. Right now, it's near impossible to work with without pulling out my hair...and there isn't that much to be pulling at! |
