hi,
i installed jdk 1.7 and NB 7.0.1, and the IDE looked like this (eclipse in the background has a normal look):

the font is terrible, there are no menu borders, after a few restarts of NB the Appearence TAB just disappeared...
so, i uninstalled NB, removed the jdk, installed jdk 1.6, installed NB 6.9.1... the same behaviour:

the message.log shows a lot of warnings like
| Code: | Cannot load library from file org-netbeans-api-project-libraries/Libraries/... Cannot create library: ... of unknown type: j2se

platform: Ubuntu 11.04 / Gnome 2.32.1
any hints/ideas? thanks in advance,
