I'm trying to delete the Hex Editor Plugin. It doesn't appear in the plugin manager (tools->plugins) and I can't figure out where to go next.
The issue is that the Hex Editor is the first option on the open file pop-up (right-click on a file) and that seems to mean that it is the default editor when I double click on a file. If I could change the default editor to 'open' instead of 'open hex' it would be fine.
really stumped

May you you could rename both the netbeans user config dir and default
netbeans.config file restart the app to check if it makes any difference.
