Drupal debugging question.

When I click the Debug icon in the toolbar to start a debugging session, NetBeans launches a new instance of Drupal every time. This is inconvenient because it puts me on the home page rather than the page that the instance I am debugging is set too, so I have to trek back through Drupal to get where I was at, which now isn't always in the same state it was before I launched the debugger.

Is there some way to turn the debugger on and off that will allow me to continually use the same instance of Drupal and stop launching a new instance each time?
