Hi folks,
netbeans.org is now incorporating a forum interface onto its most popular mailing lists. Check it out at http://forums.netbeans.org/.
This PHP Users forum is linked with the users @ php.netbeans.org mailing list. So when you post to a topic on the forum it goes out to the mailing list, and when someone replies on the mailing list it shows up on the forum.
Since forums.netbeans.org is running on different software than the netbeans.org CollabNet infrastructure, you do have to register separately with forums.netbeans.org. Your netbeans.org user name and password will not work on forums.netbeans.org. We apologize for making you register twice!
Thanks, and please send any problems or comments to webmaster @ netbeans dot org.

phpBB2? I assume it's not using phpBB3 because there isn't a MOD for
mailing list support.
My preference is to use a forum over a mailing list. But I do like to be
kept informed of activity when there isn't an over-abundance of it. Any
chance of an RSS feed?

| Mailing Lists are so nineteen hundreds. Prefer forums and RSS feeds as well. |

i'd be really happy with a google group. you get the best of all
worlds - web like forum behavior for those who want it, email
subscriptions (one at a time or daily summary), rss feeds, fantastic
search....
