Plz provide me solution regarding how to create a executable jar file in j2me using netbeanside 6.5 and also without using IDE..... Confused

Please,
What do you mean by executable file? Java ME Jar files are usually not
executable by itself.

Actually i am developing a j2me application in netbeanside 6.5......after compiling my project .....in the dist folder there i s two file one is jad and another one is jar .....jad file is ok buty when we run jar file there is an error in that regarding main class not found in manifest file.....plz provide me solution regarding this.......

Sorry, read the specification. You really can not run jar file this way,
the MIDP application neither contains main class nor can can be run on
Java SE

You can run it by default emulator or by some other Java ME SDK or
device. Some of them allows you to install jar file directly, for some
you need to install OTA server and use JAD/JAR files to get application
on SDK/phone.

Is tomcat server is inbuilt in netbeans...or we have to install it seperately....

Download "netbeans java" or "netbeans all" from netbeans download page thut
tomcat comes a bundled server with netbeans.

the best way is to always goto the source in these matters. The blackberry site has many such examples, as every cdc is packaged using a jar file.

Hello sir,

Now i have one new problem.......i develop my cdc project using netbeans
with java platform:cdc toolkit
device:default phone
profile :agui

now it create one jar file and one jnlp file.

now how to run this application..........in other system
