| Which is the best for activating a MIDlet automatically. I want to invoke my application after receiving text messages with a certain extension or URL link. Any suggestions of the pros/cons of either method?? |

I think but not sure, Push would be only way. But make sure the
application is signed, otherwise it would not work without user interaction.
