Embarassed I am very very new to NetBeans and PHP. I downloaded a project AirAlliance and when I run it. It does not show the output in the browser.

I understood that I had to download Apache server and install. Now it says Running All Apache services.

But still no output.

What all do I need to do to run sample PHP application. My apology for asking such a basic question. thank

Question
http://localhost/AirAlliance/index.phpThe webpage cannot be found

kbhatti,
I would recommend running the PHP Quick Start tutorial,
http://www.netbeans.org/kb/docs/php/quickstart.html, prior to trying the
sample application.
In fact, I suggest looking at all the material on this page
http://www.netbeans.org/kb/trails/php.html.
If you are new to PHP, I personally suggest finding some generic PHP
getting started tutorials and running those. See for example
http://php.net/getting-started. Our tutorials are meant more to show you
how the NetBeans PHP editor works than to teach you PHP basics. You will
find NetBeans PHP editor much easier if you already understand PHP basics.

The Air Alliance sample has an HTML instruction page at its root level,
called readme.html. The sample was written for NetBeans 6.1 Early Access
PHP, but the instructions should still work. I've just tried it myself
(on WAMP, with Win XP) and it works, but my sources were in a /web
subdirectory, so I had to append web/ to the URL.

Air Alliance does use the MySQL database. The readme.html file includes instructions for creating a new database on your MySQL server and populating the database.
AMP packages for PHP include the MySQL database.

To answer the original question. I had the same problem which I resolved by setting up the file copy, not to the webserver's htdocs folder as instructed, but to the www folder.
