i want to develop mobile application.I learned that,i need to install WTK . I downloaded it and installed from binary.

Greetings,
The WTK should be bundled with the NetBeans installer. Thus it should be
installed and registered as a Java platform already.
You can take a look at the Help topics about registering the platform if
for some reason it is not done with your install.
If you're new to Java ME development, take a look at the Quick Start
tutorial here http://www.netbeans.org/kb/docs/javame/quickstart.html
or one of the many other tutorials on the Mobile Application learning
trail here: http://www.netbeans.org/kb/trails/mobility.html
Cheers,
Brad

Hi, thanks to brad schmidt for his response,
I installed netbeans 6.5 on my ubuntu, its really cool and working perfectly.I have started to develop something similar to quiz.
I used form to display question answers.I got stuck when i tried to add background image to the application.
I read ,its tough to add background image to a form or impossible.
Do i need to switch over to canvas instead of form ?,i expect your suggestions as i am newbie in java...
