Hi All

If I wanted to create a project that included javascript files, html files and no build script, could I do that?

Hi Peter!

Netbeans is not just a Java IDE and your scenario is therefore
possible... ;o)

1. You can use Favorites view (Ctrl+3) to create the files directly on
your file system (right-click above the desired folder) - this can work
well if you want to do some small project (few pages).
2. Better choice, imo, is to create a new PHP project and use it just
for HTML/JS files (you need to have PHP support active, which can be
done in Tools>Plugins). You don't need to have any PHP code, of course.

Hope that helps,

Petr Dvorak

of web files in my project but no actual build because I'm not using
anything Java in this particular project.

Cheers!

I second this. I do this all the time and it work very well.

Hi Peter,
you can create a normal Web Application and in: 'Project Properties > Sources'
remove: 'Source & Test Package Folders'. The build script remains because
it is used for deploying and other tasks but will not compile.

Next possibility is to use Web Free-Form application with a empty build.xml

Regards,

-Martin
