I created a new Project from existing sources, which are new and have a name that I've never used before, yet I get this message. I tried deleting the .netbeans folder to no avail. I don't know how to get it to work.
Any suggestions? |

not sure what you mean by "the .netbeans folder to no avail." but - try to
restart your IDE (I suppose you have deleted "nbproject" directory using some
external file manager - right?)

When you remove a project from your Netbeans workspace (using the IDE), Netbeans allow you to remove the project without delete sources. So, when it's done, you must remove the directory nbproject that was created inside your source project.
I've having the same problem and that was enough to me.
