Hello,

I want to use the SFTP in netbeans, and I am using the password authentication, unfortunaly every time I try to upload my files the netbeans keep showing me the password input dialog, because the authentication order is public/private key, keyboard interactive, then password. So every time tries the public key first when it fails it moves to the keyboard authentication and I have to escape it, then it takes the password I saved and upload the files.

My question is: is there any way to change this order?

I am using Netbeans 6.7 M3

Hi,

there is no way to change the key from netbeans ... it's a question of
authentication protocol. No idea, if this is possible in any other way.

Good news is that IDE is not going to ask you for password each time you
upload via sftp, http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=162846

I'm having this same issue and I'm using 6.7 RC 1. I've had it since the Beta and still no luck.

Basically, I'm using SFTP and specifying a password. I'm not using a private key, so that field is left blank. I have files uploading on save.

I am prompted for the password everytime I save a file since it tries to upload it. I can simply click cancel and the upload will work, but I always get the prompt.

Please help!

please, file an issue against PHP project/FTP support [1] and provide _exact_
steps to reproduce together with as much information as possible (we are not
able to reproduce). If you could attach a screenshot of the dialog asking for
your password it would be great.

Thanks a lot,
Tomas
