Hello,
i have a simple question: How can i disable the continuous scanning of
opened files? I`m working all times on mounted net devices. Some of my
network devices hasnt a 100mbit connection, so working with these files
is "laggy". for example indenting a few lines (10 or more) needs up to
5seconds.
So, how can i disable the scanning of the files or reduce the interval
of the scanning?
thanks in advice
best regards

Hi Michael,
You problem is not simple, we need to do some tests to figure out what
exactly is making the editor slow when working with files on remote fs.
I reported is here:
http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=159521
Thanks for bringing it up,
-TS

| I'm experiencing the exact same problem and I have no option to copy the files to a local drive. When the network is busy it is a real pain... Constant lags when indenting, writing a variable etc. I'm using NetBeans 6.7 Beta. |

Ah haa! My god that explains alot, my computer will becoming randomly
unresponsive sometimes when running netbeans and i could never quite put
my finger on why (it only ever happens at work not at home). But that
pinpoints it perfectly, all the work i do at work is on network drives,
at home it's always local and i never have these problems.
Going to try copying projects locally before working on Monday to see if
that solves it for me.
Thanks kristian ;)
