I have upgraded NB from version 6.5 to 6.7 and currently working on a PHP project and would like to create a Javascript file the same as in 6.5

I am reading mixed reviews on whether Javascript support still exists in 6.7

On NB 6.7 site it states that support is available
http://www.netbeans.org/kb/docs/php/project-setup.html#javaScriptLibraries

Another review states to the contrary that NB 6.7 no longer supports Javascript as per Tomas Mysik Wed Apr 29, 2009 3:03 pm
http://forums.netbeans.org/topic11067.html&highlight=javascript

Can someone please clarify the situation as to whether or not Javascript files can be created in NB 6.7 PHP projects?

I became a little impatient and reverted to NB 6.5

To create a new Javascript file, right click on the PHP project -> New -> Other -> select Javascript as per
http://www.netbeans.org/kb/61/ide/javascript-editor.html#basic

I also conducted two other steps which I am not sure if there were essential for the creation of Javascript files?

Firstly the Teniga Javascript editor was installed via NB plugins
http://plugins.netbeans.org/PluginPortal/faces/PluginDetailPage.jsp?pluginid=2710

The second step was to include JQuery as a resource within the PHP project
http://www.netbeans.org/kb/docs/web/js-toolkits.html#jQueryAddLib

Perhaps another NB'er would be able to state if this solution works in NB 6.7?

JavaScript editor works the same.

Just copy your JS library to your project and that's all, everything should
work as expected (if not, please, file an issue [1]). JavaScript libraries have
been removed because it only could copy JS file(s) to your project, nothing
more (no relation with code completion etc.).

HTH,
Tomas
