Dear list,

I have the following issue. I'm using Netbeans PHP Pack for development on Linux hosts (local and remote) and Firefox for testing. I have a specialized profile in Firefox that I use only for development in which I had installed a number of development related extensions like Firebug. The name of the profile is Dev and usually I use it by starting Firefox with -P Dev -no-remote parameters (outside Netbeans). I saw that Netbeans has a Javascript debugger. I modified the default browser option in Tools->Options->General and defined a new web browser entry which has the following params -P Dev -remote "openURL({URL})" as it is defined in the default Firefox entry.
When I try to run the project I'm working on ( usually remote projects) it works properly, it opens a new tab in Firefox with Dev profile. Also when I try to debug the project using the server-side debugger (only) it works properly and opens a tab in the Dev profile, but when I try to run the client-side Javascript debugger (with netbeans extension installed in the Dev profile) it tries to open or opens the default profile and not the Dev profile. I modified the Firefox Profile Location in Tools->Options->Miscellaneous to point to the Dev Firefox profile, but the result is the same (even if I use the default Firefox entry in Tools->Options->General).
Could somebody tell me how to fix this issue, because I prefer using the Dev profile and not installing the development related extensions into the default Firefox profile. Also could somebody tell me how to reset the detection of the availability of the netbeans extension in Firefox so that Netbeans will ask me again to install the extension in Firefox. I use Netbeans 6.7 and Firefox 3.5 on Debian Linux. Thank you!

Best regards,

It seems that Netbeans doesn't launches Firefox with -P and -remote parameters as defined in Tools->Options->General when it launches the JavaScript debugger. It only point Firefox to a local file that is generated in /tmp with the filename containing the connection data for the extension. In this case i rephrase my question, is there an option to force Netbeans to launch Firefox with added custom parameters for JavaScript debugging. Thank you!

In the newer Netbeans you don't have to use the --remote blahblah argument. Just use {URL} and firefox will open up just fine.

I tested it with Netbeans 6.7 and Firefox 3.0.13 under Linux
