I am Neeraj Shah from Rajkot,India.
NetBeans is the best IDE I have ever used for Java and XML Development.
And I must say it is comparable to Visual Studio and Altova's XML Spy .
Continue the benevolent effort, and I wish you a very very happy birthday . |

I have been working on Java for 6 years now, and I treat Java as almost a part of me . I also work on .net but I have a certain bonding with Java.I was introduced to NetBeans accidently 2 or 3 years ago while surfing the net about java.
I was glad to find out that there such a great IDE for Java, almost comparable to Visual Studio. I use NetBeans to learn Servlets,JSF,JSP and all other j2ee technologies. I also recommed it to my friends learnin j2ee. Learning j2ee with netbeans saves time in deploying WebApps and also it reduces the deployment time errors.
Good job NetBeans Community. |

I've been using Netbeans since it was known as Forte. I wish the memory overhead was lower, though. I've managed to get it running on an Acer Aspire One netbook, though I also had to install a Sun JDK as screen painting was dodgy under the default "iced tea" JDK. However, with only 512Mb of RAM it's okay for editing code and running desktop java projects but trying to run a web application project is unusable. It grinds to a halt and spends all its time thrashing the swap partition.
Has to register yet another web site account just to post here; it's a pity the forums and netbeans.org aren't OpenID enabled... |

Hi,
I am Pathum and I am from Sri Lanka. My experience on NetBeans is about 2 years and I really appreciate the Free DVD mailing program. even for the developing countries like ours.
I am amazed with what NetBeans can achieve with such a smooth memory management and performance.
I wish NetBeans and their Team for a brighter future with number one ranking in the IDE sector.
Cheers! |
