Forwarding to the Ruby user list to see if there's an answer there.

Hi,
I'm trying to add the IronRuby interpreter (ir.exe) as a Ruby platform to NetBeans. Everytime I do that, I get an error that it doesn't seem as a valid Ruby interpreter.
I checked the IDE log option and this is the warning I get on the log after trying to add IronRuby as a platform:
WARNING [org.netbeans.api.ruby.platform.RubyPlatformManager]: Detection of platform timeouted
I'd like to fix that and make IronRuby compatiable with NetBeans. What can be the cause of that?
Many thanks,
Shay. |

Hi Shay,
Unfortunately IronRuby isn't support at the moment. If you'd like to
give a shot at supporting it, the
org.netbeans.api.ruby.platform.RubyPlatformManager class would be the
best place to start - please feel free to ask here whatever you might
have. Or you can file an enhancement for this and it will hopefully get
implemented; for 6.8 it is likely too late to implement this but
possibly then for the release after 6.8.
Cheers,
Erno
