Hi all,
First off, to the Netbeans developers, thanks for such a great IDE to work with!
Second, this is more of a feature request if I'm not doing something wrong. When I right click on a project and choose 'Download', for web sites I've built, it then always selects the entire site to be downloaded.
Since there can be multiple people working on a site (SEO, developers, designers etc) there can be updates meaning I have to get the latest files from the FTP server. Now I refuse to use dreamweaver as a developer for obvious reasons, but one feature they have which is very useful (albeit half-arsed and extremely slow) is that download only selects the files which are different to the copy I already have.
On large sites, this will save a huge amount of time as I know for a fact, images havent changed so I then have to proceed to uncheck each image individually as there is no option to select a group holding shift, and then using space to uncheck that selected group.
Anyone else have this problem/know a work-around?
Thanks again guys, _________________ iSE |

Yes, it select the directory you invoked the action on (including
subdirectories, of course).

Sorry, in this case (more people working on one project), any VCS is
_strongly_ recommended and preferred. NetBeans supports CVS, subversion and
mercurial out-of-the-box.

Any VCS saves your time much more...

Yes, as I wrote, consider using VCS.
