Hello,

I had developed a project with 1004 files on netbeans, it was my first project on netbeans and to my surprise netbeans used a different encoding than standard which forced me to transfer all files in binary format.

I extremely recommend to change the default encoding for unix platform as majority of servers are based on linux operating system.

Thank You, Hope you guys think of bringing some change and follow the standard.

I didn't even know what the default encoding and file type are, and
can't seem to find them in the options. Textpad4 reports them as ANSI
and UNIX on a file I recently edited. But some older files show PC as
the type.

In my case, I use WinSCP to move the files over to the test/build server
and haven't had any problems yet. But we are transitioning to UTF-8
encoding as part of a change in hosting services, and I will need to
figure out how to make that change in NetBeans and Perforce.

In any case, the file type, line endings and encoding need to be
selectable, with a default per project. Conversions should be done
through the "Save as" dialog. Save should preserve the state of the file
as read in. Any default settings should only be used when creating a new
file.

My PHP project is located on sshfs-fuse mounted filesystem and i have
very slow connection to this server.
When i'm right-clicks on project name (to close it or so) the IDE is
stuck for 20-30 seconds and only after that the submenu apears.

I don't know is this an error only in latest build or in 6.7 too.

My system is Mac OS 10.6.1 and nightly-build of netbeans.

Can anybody confirm this issue?

Sorry about my bad english Smile
