I want to run netbeans as root. I'm running a very cpu intensive program and I want to be able to create processes with commands like "nice --19" to get them to run faster, since they currently take forever and I only see a minimal amount of my CPU in use with '$ top'.
The problem is that when I try 'sudo netbeans' I always get error messages such as "WARNING: environment variable DISPLAY is not set"
How can I get around this?
Thanks! |
