Hi,

I installed NetBeans 6.8 with the bundled Glassfish v3 as root to /opt.

When I start NetBeans as root and start Glassfish from the service tab, everything works as expected
(default ports: 4848, 8080, 8181,...)

But when I do the same thing as user, I get different ports, eg.:

--------------------
Running the create-domain subcommand
Verworfene Syntax, verwenden Sie stattdessen:
asadmin --user anonymous create-domain [options] ...
Using port 19941 for Admin.
Using port 19973 for HTTP Instance.
Using port 19969 for JMS.
Using port 19930 for IIOP.
Using port 19974 for HTTP_SSL.
Using port 19931 for IIOP_SSL.
Using port 19932 for IIOP_MUTUALAUTH.
Using port 19979 for JMX_ADMIN.
Using port 19959 for OSGI_SHELL.
Der Pfad im gegebenen Gebietsschema [de_CH] unter: [/opt/glassfish-
v3/glassfish/lib/templates/locales/de_CH/index.html] wurde nicht gefunden. Stattdessen wird die
Standard-(en_US)index.html verwendet.
Distinguished Name (DN) des selbstsignierten X.509-Serverzertifikats lautet:
[CN=shire,OU=GlassFish,O=Sun Microsystems,L=Santa Clara,ST=California,C=US]
Domain.xml customization failed : java.io.IOException: Permission denied
Domain GlassFish_v3 created.
Domain GlassFish_v3 admin port is 19941.
Domain GlassFish_v3 allows admin login as user "anonymous" with no password.
Befehl create-domain wurde erfolgreich ausgeführt.
--------------------

I think the domain is created at <user-dir>/.netbeans/6.8

Note the line:
"Domain.xml customization failed : java.io.IOException: Permission denied"

Is this the Domain.xml from the installation dir? Why does it want to change something in the
installation dir?

Who is creating these port numbers? NetBeans? Glasfish?

Why aren't the default ports used?

How can I create a default domain with the default ports as a user?
