Hello,

I've started doing some php 5.3.0 coding with Netbeans 6.7 but I'm getting a lot of syntax errors from within the editor.

Can support for php 5.3.0 be added to Netbeans 6.7? Maybe this could be release as a service patch?

About my knowledge is not supportted. The php-5.3 support is part of
NetBeans-6.8 milestone.
Sometimes reasonable to try the developer version from here
(http://bertram.netbeans.org/hudson/job/PHP-build/).

yes, PHP 5.3 is too fresh to be supported in NetBeans 6.7.

Unfortunately not because PHP 5.3 is _major_ update with _many_ changes and
features and its support in NetBeans is currently work in progress. But you
can try development version of NetBeans where initial support for PHP 5.3
should already be available. More information on our blog [1].

Hi,

I really wouldn't expect that. PHP 5.3.0 is to be in 6.8 and if it is
done earlier then you will find it in one of our milestones. However, I
highly recommend you to use our 6.8. php development build [1] where
some improvement has been done, already! Be aware of this build is in
development so you may face some inconveniences like exceptions, etc.
Don't hesitate to submit whatever bug you find and help us to make the
IDE better! :)

Thanks and good luck!

I can try the 6.8 release but as you say it's development and can cause exceptions so I would not want to use it on a major project.

IMHO you would probably not want to use PHP 5.3 on a major project at
this stage anyway - it will still take a while before it gets embraced
by the majority of hosting companies, tool providers, before it proofs
to cause no troubles and before developers learn to use it properly.
