Netbeans Wizard thinks I'm using < 1.5 jdk when creating entity class

I'm on Mac OS X 10.5.7, NB 6.7, JDK 1.6 EE, with Maven.

When I try to create a Persistence, Entity class, in the second screeen I get this error msg (in red):

Java source level must be at least 1.5 to create entity classes in this p...

In the project properties under compile the default JDK is 1.6.

Any idea what I have set wrong? Do I need to setup Maven somewhere?

I found a solution with further searching. My apologies for posting here.

In the properties window, under Sources the sources selection was set to 1.3. Why not the default 1.6?
