Windows Postgres Users - Tip

The php_pgsql.dll extensions do not work on PHP 5...
Apache log says is cant load it, but its there in the EXT folder...

After an hour and beginning to think there is a MySQL conspiracy... ha ha...
finally got it

It doesnt load because its missing DLL dependencies...

Place the PHP folder in the windows system PATH
Place PostgreSQL\8.x\bin in the system PATH

Restart XP machine... and postgres will come alive...
In PHP 5 ini its already all set...

Whew ! Nearly had to let PHP go there... I like my postgres ;)

As a newbie to PHP... the issues have really been...

5% NB PHP... its really just that missing XDebug module...
95% Just getting a PHP environment going... lots of little issues... like
somtimes it a \ or / slash
somethime full path, sometimes relative... just about no Postgres docs on
the PHP site
ie INI file issues... and the above

But thats it... now PHPing
