stop to scann project

hi,

I remember that I read ("in what is new in NetBeans 6.8" -
when NB 6.8 was released) that in NetBeans 6.8 was added an
option to disable the automatic scanning of the project.

But now that I would use this possibility (for the long time
I am losing with this automatic function), I am not able
anymore to find how apply it .

If this possibility exists (remembering I well) I would like
to know how to disable the automatic scanning of the
projects in NetBeans 6.8.
