Hey guys,

I have quite a perplexing problem on my hands.

When I go to deploy my web app to Oracle WebLogic Server v10.3.3 on NetBeans 6.9.1, it appears that the server starts correctly, with the line "<Sep 4, 2010 9:57:48 PM EST> <Notice> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000360> <Server started in RUNNING mode>" appearing in the console log.

However, the progress bar for "Starting Oracle WebLogic Server" just keeps running until I get the error message: "Deployment error:
IDE can't recognize whether the server has been started. Please use the Refresh button or context menu item to update its status.
See the server log for details."

Meanwhile, the server continues to run in the background, without NetBeans ever recognising that in fact, it has started correctly. Hitting "Refresh" in the Services -> Servers box does nothing.

Any ideas?

Hi,
could it be a firewall problem? Is there admin console installed? Can
you open it in the browser (usually
http://localhost:7001/console/login/LoginForm.jsp)?

Thanks,
P.

That's the strange thing. When I use Eclipse, the server starts fine and I can navigate to the Admin Console.

But when I use NetBeans, it "appears" that the server is running, but I can't navigate to the Admin Console, and I get that error message I outlined in my first post.

So I don't think it's a firewall issue...

Anything in the server log? Can you try it with NetBeans 6.10 daily build?

Thanks,
P.
