Hi,

I'm trying to install portlet stuff with netbean 6.7. I try OpenPortal
Portlet Container ; I have installed GlassFich.

On step 2 in wizard of Add Server Instance, netbeans ask me "Domain
DIr". What is ?

If I look at http://portalpack.netbeans.org/UG_PortletContainerPlugin.html
I read in "Configuration steps to configure a Portlet Container in
Netbeans" : Enter Domain Dir as "$GlassFish Home/domains/$domain".
Click on the browse button to select Domain Dir. Default domain is
"domain1"

Nothing work for me : Netbeans says : "Not a valid domain dir".
Neither "toto" neither "titi", work.

Thanks for your help.

I am responding to this for the sake of people who Googled this same problem.

When NetBeans gives you the "Not a valid domain dir" on the server setup wizard, it means that it does not have write permission for the domain directory. Most likely, the OP is using a Linux distribution and has NetBeans installed in his/her home directory and OpenPortal installed in a root directory; OR the OP has created a separate user for OpenPortal for security.

To fix this problem, simply change the permission of the <Glass Fish Directory>/domains directory. On Linux distributions, use the 'chmod' command.
