I've just installed version 6.5. Great to see it has gone into production.

I'm getting a problem filtering tasks. I don't seem to be able to filter out areas of my application that I'm not interested in monitoring for tasks. For example, third party javascript add-ins including prototype.js.

At the moment my real tasks are being obscured by all the other tasks for items I didn't write nor intend rewriting.

Am I doing something wrong?

My platform is Windows XP Pro. Screen shot attached.

Select the drop-down (V) for the Filter button (the funnel) and choose Edit.

Click New

Type a name, such as NoJS

Click Keywords

Select File from the first drop-down list
Select Does Not Contain from the second drop-down list
Type .js in the text box

You now have a filter to filter out javascript files

You can add other conditions, such as filter out all locations that contain vendor or war.

Sorry - went away for the weekend and have only just got back to this.

I've only just installed NetBeans 6.5 and the filter was not working as described in my first post. However, since then I've rebooted my PC (my development PC doesn't get rebooted very often) and the filter is working fine now.

I think it must just be a glitch on first install.
