No - it makes no difference - the compiled .class or packaged .jar files can run equally well on x32 or x64 platform. This is one of the mainstays of Java - write once run anywhere!

Java programs that run on x64 JVM on X64 machines have access to more address space.

I just registered and its working perfectly fine. The backend application developed system works pretty well for me.
