Hello evryone,
i'm new here, my question is:

I use Netbeans 6.9 and SQL Management Studio Express and i want to connect to my database.

1- in the Service windows, i go to Database/Drivers and right-click in
Microsoft SQL server 2005
2- i click on Connect Using...

3- e new windows appear and when i fill Host, Port, Database, Instance name, User name and no password.

4- When i click OK there is a message like this:

[
Unable to add connection. Cannot establish a connection to
jdbc:sqlserver://name-of-the-server\name-of-my-computer\SQLEXPRESS:1433; database=Master using
com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver (The TCP/IP connection to the host has failed.
java.net.ConnectionException: Connection refused: connect).]

Why please?

sathish,

the subject of your post does not reflect the question you have. Please use a more sensitive one in the future.

I tried to do some things:
1. Project source: \\server\projects\my
Path mapping: /var/www/my -> \\server\projects\my
Result: doesn't working

Later i tried to connect remote path as network disk in windows, so

2. Project source: P:\\my
Path mapping: /var/www/my -> P:\\my
Result: Work!

Question: why \\server\projects\my doesn't working by P:\my does?
