|
|
I want to install Jruby 1.3 on NetBeans 6.5.1 . I correctly installed it and doing jruby -v it works.
But if I go on Ruby Platform Manager and I do Autodetect Platforms it doesn't see JRuby 1.3 but only 1.1.4.
Also doing Add Platform and importing the correct interpreter it continue to say <Valid Platform has to be selected>
What am I supposed to do?
Thanks a lot!!! |

Which file did you choose as the interpreter? Also, if you're on Win,
try installing JRuby to a directory without spaces in the path. Check
also this thread for further tips:
http://forums.netbeans.org/topic12479.html (it contains a couple of
things to try).

Unfortunately also with your advices nothing seems to be changed
It still give me the same <Valid Platform has to be selected>
It could be because I have downloaded the most recent version?
I really don't know how to move on from this error!! |

Not sure what is the problem here; adding 1.3.0 works for me both with
6.7 and 6.5.1 (on Ubuntu). Could you try whether using NB 6.7 rc2
(http://download.netbeans.org/netbeans/6.7/rc/) makes any difference for
you? If it still doesn't work, please turn on detailed logging in Tools
-> Options -> Ruby, try to add the platform again (using 6.7) and send
the log file to me. Or even better file an issue for it at
http://www.netbeans.org/issues/enter_bug.cgi against the ruby/platform
component and attach the log file there.
Thanks,
Erno |
