XAMPP is a very easy to install Apache Distribution for Linux, Solaris, Windows and Mac OS X. The package includes the Apache web server, MySQL, PHP, Perl, a FTP server and phpMyAdmin.

| it seems that patch 2 is a patch of the XAMPP 1.7.0 version, and that this patch is included in version 1.7.1, so no need to install it |

Sorry, reference to Patch 2 is obsolete (referred to an older version of
XAMPP). I've removed it.
