|
|
Hello,
I'm using NetBeans 6.7.1 for PHP scripting, but my IDE doesn't complete the code even if I press CRTL+SPACE, I can only see "No suggestions".
Screenshot:
I'd like to know where the problem is.
Thanks in advance.

well, take it as warning ... I don't need to investigate what/why
happened. It was an add below and above your picture . That add was
kinda obscene. Anyway, close the discussion about this and be patient
this won't repeat . Thanks.
Back to your problem.
So you created a project, created new file inside the project and there
was no code completion even for standard functions, right? Let me know
if you took any other steps.
Copy please content of Help->About where is your OS description, number
of 6.7.1. version and number of jdk build. I'll have a closer look.
I'm pretty sure this was solved in 6.7.1 but I saw this issue in
development builds in 6.7.
Thanks.

Strange, from your picture it looks like that the php support doesn't
work in the file at all. Which extension has the file?

Exactly. (But I didn't create a new file inside the new project, I've started typing into index.php which was there. But I thing that makes no difference)

.php
It's supports PHP, but just a little bit. Look at this. This is the only PHP completion that my NB is capable of.

petanorech,
It's fine now.
Pardon a couple of silly questions, but:
1. There is a closing ?> tag obscured under the No Suggestions box, isn't there?
2. This is a PHP project; that is, you have the PHP version of NetBeans or the All version with the PHP support enabled? And you created the project as a new PHP project?
Sorry to ask, but it's better to double-check the obvious things.

Yes. No suggestion box just covers it
2. This is a PHP project; that is, you have the PHP version of NetBeans or the All version with the PHP support enabled? And you created the project as a new PHP project?
I've got "All versions" NB (the biggest pack) with PHP enabled.
I created New Project -> PHP -> PHP Application -> pressed Next -> pressed Finish

Again my question:). Which extension does have the file? Could you
create a screenshot of the whole ide?
Thanks,
Petr
