Scan project slowness in 6.8 M1

Netbeans constantly scans projects and I am getting "slowness detected" message frequently as the app freezes from time to time for several seconds. CPU hits 100% more than 50% of the time.

Overall the 6.8 M1 is slower than 6.7.x, and even 6.7 is slow already.

I am using OSX 1.6 snow leopard. Can anyone give any suggestion to speed up this thing? Thanks!

That's a very old build. Try the beta

or a nightly dev build:

There is nothing you can do.
NetBeans scanning gets slower with every release.

Opening a project with the Liferay Source code on my computer (dual-core 2,5 GHz) takes 5 minutes until the scanning is complete... (current 6.8 dev builds)
