Compile on save on maven war project will be supported ?
Actually .class files are copied in target/classes but in a war project i think files should be also copied in target/appname/WEB-INF/classes.

Best regards

I haven't tried for a while, but I think it should be generally working for web projects. If I recall correctly, it also depends on the server you deploy to, not all app servers support deploy on save.

I deploy my application on Tomcat 6 server using Run or Debug menu on Netbeans 6.x.
I think that it can't work because the application server use classes that are in target/artifactId/WEB-INF/classes but "compile on save" copy classes only in target/classes folder.
I have attached a very simple sample project to show the case.

Please file it as an issue, however I'm not sure if deploy on save is supported on tomcat. We will have to discuss in the issue with server plugins people.

Did you log the issue? If so, where can I vote for it?

This would indeed be great - it's the only thing keeping me and my colleagues to use Eclipse.

Best regards,
Ronald
