when attemping to run the latest JEE6 tutorial the following msg is produced.
Also the demo has you create a JSF page but it doesn't create a faces.xml file.
There seems to be some typos in the tutorial can this please be updated to function correctly.
Thanks,

The official NetBeans tutorials are found on http://www.netbeans.org.
The tutorial you refer to is not on that site, hence it is a community
contribution. It is a Wiki page, meaning that if you find a problem, you
can fix it yourself in the Wiki page.

@aberryjr:
If you look in that wiki, I added an edit to the discussion that deleting the beans.xml files that netbeans adds to the project will resolve this issue. Also, yes, you have to create the faces-config.xml yourself. I used the one Mr. Lam provided in his complete source example.
@Geertjan Wielenga:
The JEE6 tutorial written by Christopher Lam is available on both sites and is nearly identical. The one provided here does not use primefaces.
I can see why aberryjr would be confused because when I first began learning about netbeans, I did not realize there is a difference between netbeans.org and wiki.netbeans.org.
---
Both of them have a mistake in the customerSession screenshot in that it should be named 'customerSessionBean', as is indicated in the code snippet below the image. |
