Hi Wadi,

I did do a very basic test with it on a recent nightly build and found
that it works as expected for me. Note that the client property you
have to put in the component is different now than it was earlier in
development when Geertjan blogged about it. See the javadoc for the
correct value:

http://bits.netbeans.org/dev/javadoc/org-netbeans-modules-print/

Also, I found that you have to enable a lot of things related to the
editor in the ide cluster in order to satisfy the Print module's
dependencies. I did not expect that and IMHO it is unfortunate for
platform applications to have to enable a bunch of otherwise unneeded
modules simply to enable printing.

I filed an issue about having to enable all the editor modules in the
ide cluster:

http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=150134

And the developer behind the Print API seems to agree with me. So, it
might be possible to use the Print API in the future using only the
platform cluster.

FYI: This issue is now resolved in the most recent nightly build,
meaning that simple printing support will be very easy to implement in
the NetBeans Platform.
