Second run of maven web project the context always fail to start

Repeatedly I have ran into the same problem, no matter if I return to
a fresh installation situation.

I have this very simple Spring web maven application, that first time
deployed runs successfully in the built-in instance of Tomcat 6. On
the second attempt it refuses to run. I can undeploy it, stop Tomcat,
do a new run command, all tests I've written pass just as before,
Tomcat starts up, and yet Tomcat refuses to start this context.

Nothing definitive in the logs. This is not unique, it have happened
several times with different apps.

Any experiences you can share or suggestions how to make Netbeans play
better with Tomcat 6 in this context?
