emiddio,
I am forwarding your email to the nbj2ee mailing list and the relevant
engineers, who may be able to answer your question. I will consult with
them on improving the tutorial.

i've spent some time now studying axis -- both axis1, axis2 -- with this tutorial, with an
axis2 web services book and with the apache axis[12] web sites.

it took too long to understand(should have been explained somewhere sooner) that .aar
files only are deployed to the axis2.war deployed servlet.

lots of the apache axis[12] samples are not .aar samples -- some generate .war files; and
others seem to be neither.

i now understand that an axis[12]web service war can also exist -- which has an
org.apache.axis2.transport.http.AxisServlet in the war that can be deployed to a servlet
container without requiring use of axis2.war(which also has AxisServlet).

what i still dont know how to do is convert an axis[12] service to/from .aar to .war or
.war to .aar.

where can i get/find this info.

thanks
