This is amazing but true! I am an Information Technology Instructor from the Computer Technologies Institue (COMTECH), Inc. , Zamboanga City, Philippines. Netbeans has portrayed a significant role in improving our teaching capacity and programming skills as well. Our students all learn java using Netbeans and we are happy that they learn fast and they are motivated . Netbeans has become an integral aspect in the ICT academe here in the Philippines and its making waves. Netbeans definitely rocks our world! Ha Ha Ha ! Keep up! Great team! _________________ How can i think outside the box when i work in a cube? |

Well the bugs keep coming and they won't stop coming, but NB really helps getting the code done!
Architects have great and standard cad tools, and software developers are near getting their's ready. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Java EE5!
I would want to wear one of these celebration t-shirts. |

NetBeans is already a gud enough IDE for me.
one set back is that when gui s are created they all looks the same. It ll be great if there would be more options for graphical appearance.
It willl help in developing more attractive GUIs. _________________ BNW |

| I would like NetBeans team to develop a portable version of NetBeans so that people can use it anywhere without the worries of installing it in a root directory. A user can just save it in his Flash Memory use it to his/her convenience. |

Apache Geronimo is my favourite application server.
I know that IBM's WebSphere is based on Geronimo. I know that IBM supports Eclipse.
But NetBeans is so great IDE that it has to support the Geronimo at full. Two small projects doing that are not enough; it requires the whole community support! |

In English (with Google translator)
The future arrives in NetBeans of the hands of the powerful plugins.
First a strong incursion into data centers with a graphic visual editor; the same way I can predict a better application development with flex not only for Web but also the development of desktop applications.
On the other hand the total integration with a database manager, with mysql specifically to be able to work fully integrated, that is developing pl like procedures, functions and triggers more
One important development that will also provide you with mobile platforms such as Android, Blackberry, and that will also have integrated platforms with Netbeans
Take a little longer but may also provide that in the future develop applications for the iphone from our NetBeans |

NetBeans with its distinct features will be the only IDE to survive in the coming years. Everyone will enjoy it.
The Community will grow vast and hope all tech people will be here. I hope it has enough space for all. |

I think the future of netBeans is going to be so advanced with every feature.as they say "The Only IDE You Need",it will be popular in many fields of development.it's our responsibility to spread the news about this great IDE,which we kept our faith and never let us down.
Future is clear. |

NetBeans in the future? Oh well... guess it's not just a matter of NetBeans itself but also a matter of Java (SE/EE/FX) technologies. My dreams are more or less like this:
- I can use NetBeans to build truly portable desktop applications which still are well-integrated with each and every desktop OS in question both in terms of look _and_ feel, including things like cross-platform global keybindings, full interaction with non-Java applications, ... . Same, there are technologies and wizards that easily allow for scaling applications up/down (i.e. from Java SE / desktop to Java EE / client-server).
- I do have UI builders and frameworks at hand that, on top of pure Java technology, allow for (visually) creating and (programmatically) wiring up user interfaces without having to care about whether it's a desktop application, a web app, some cell phone interface or whatever.
- I do have strongest, state-of-the-art software engineering tools at hand, including full support of then-current UML standards, MDA, Requirements Engineering and all.
Oh well... too many other things to mention, but overally, looking that now we're living "now", NetBeans is pretty close what is possible in the Java world, pretty next to "state-of-the-art" and so far in my opinion the tool to use these days. Good work.

| Well I'd want to see more low level visual designs in the future other than creating tiled layers n sprites... It'd great if u can put time line for animations... |
